New Picture Elena Drew

I am so proud of our little artist. Here is the new "smiley faces" we've been drawing. Sooooo talented Elena is... :)

I've lost weight!!!

Well, no...maybe it's "Honey, I shrunk!?!"...or maybe it's Elena putting on Mommy's pants...any way you put it, it's some funny pictures to post...hehe!

Some Funnies...

Here's a picture of Elena doing her hair like Grammy does every morning, evidence of my Dad losing his snacks...Teddy Grahams to Parker, and his ice cream to Elena, and then the action shots of Jack's hiding space and Elena trying desperately to get him to come down or she was coming up after him.

Deer and More Parker Photos

Here's a shot of their back yard with 4 deer (although you can only see two in this one) that seem to have taken up residence, and more Parker photos. The last is of Parker's couch...he was kind enough to share with Elena and Grandpa.

Pictures of trip

Here's Elena being patriotic on the way to the house from the airport, Elena enjoying yummy treats that Grammy picked up, and a Parker photo...

Over the River and Through the Woods...

...To Grammy and Pops we goooooo....the car knows the way, at the end of the day, through the wild and windy roooaaadddddsss. Wow, am I good or what? HA! Elena and I took a little trip to visit Grammy and Grandpa Z in Ohio for a week. We had warmer - just a little - weather, and a good visit. And we got to meet a new family member...PARKER the wonder dog! He is a rescue dog that mom and dad adopted, and though we were a little concerned at first, Elena and Parker were buddies in no time. As for Jack and Elena...well, I think the pictures will speak for themselves. I will have to put a couple of posts to get all the pictures in. Enjoy!

Children always love the box better than the gift...

I think we have all heard, been told, or said ourselves that kids always love the boxes their gifts come in, and sometimes better than the gift themselves. Elena got a baby crib and stroller from Mommy and Daddy for birthday this year...two funny stories go with those. When Eric was putting the crib together, Elena was using the crib box for a bed for her babies and then herself. And then the stroller, well, she acted just like we do. She put the baby in, then folded the top and then pretended to hand a "frogus" and "milkus" to her baby as she was walking her. We tuck those two "Elena treasures" in the top of the folded stroller hood until she needs or wants them. She kept saying, "Ok, baby. Here we go. Do you want a frogus? Here your milkus! Ok, let's go!" Too funny!

Happy belated Birthday...

Well, not really. We did celebrate on time, but I have been horrible at blogging...sorry. Elena is now three and as my grandmother used to call me, a "wildcat". She is certainly coming into her own as far as knowing what she wants and how she is going to express herself. Still a complete joy. :) We made an attempt to celebrate out at Chuckee Cheese (or however you spell it), but it ended up being best to celebrate at home with cake...now, this was back in March, but she still asks for cake after dinner. Oh, dear!
