Eric and Anji have been married since October 2001, but have known each other since the age of 10. They welcomed daughter Elena in March 2005. Eric is co-founder and President of Artsonia, the World's Largest online art gallery for children K-12. Anji is a licensed esthetician and makeup artist, spending her time focused on home and family with consulting on the side. Elena keeps Dad and Mom on their toes!
Monday morning was spent at the GrayslakeFire Station as part of a preschool field trip...awwwww, Elena's very first one! And it was perfect, because she is HUGE into the whole Fire Fighter thing right now. Books, pictures, every time we hear a siren, "There goes a fire fighter's, Mommy! Listen! They on a rescue!"
They watched a movie with Elmo at the Fire Station and then got a tour. They got to sit in the "an-gu-lance" and sit in the driver's seat of the fire engine. You'll see the glee on Elena's face when it was her turn! I will have a couple posts for photos.
Photos:
-Yep, Daddy wanted to go, too!

-In the driver's seat
-Elena is on the floor enamored by the attire - she was a little disgruntled that there wasn't a fire coat, hat, etc in her size...but she got her very own soon enough!
-Elena looking at the Fire Engine. She couldn't take her eyes off of it for the longest time!
Eight years ago today, I married my best friend. Thank you, Lord, for the blessing that is Eric! He is truly from You and You alone. I love you, Eric. Thank you for making my life wonderful!
Song of Solomon 2:16a "My lover is mine and I am his"(inscribed on the inside of our wedding rings)
Halloween Specials are going on now at Artsonia. And some new products are being showcased as well! Elena has her very first advertising spot! Although, seeing that she kind of has an "in" with the president makes her a pretty obvious choice! ;)
Welcome home parental units of the hubby persuasion!!!
Eric's parents came for a visit. Friday afternoon was full of visiting and then dinner at Keylime Cove with John too, since he was going to be on his way home from work in WI.
We spent Saturday in Kohler, WI...Ooooohhh....Aaaaaahhhhh....for Harvest Days. We made crafts, took a tractor ride to a HUGE hay fort, fed and petted goats, llamas and horses, and Elena enjoyed her very first pony ride...good times! She kept moving loose hay around saying that she was building her own play fort...hehehe.
Then we ate at La Cucina for lunch and the Horse and Plow Pub for dinner...Eric and I got pretty close to some good memories for our anniversary...Tuesday will be 8 amazing years!!!
I will have a couple posts for pics.
Here's Elena with Diva before we left, pics of the tent and our crafts...get a load of the pumpkin carving! That's talent!!! And the fam leaning in and getting warm and fuzzy...geez...
Diva has undergone "fixation" and while now home and healthy is VERY unhappy since she has been sentenced to cone wear for the next week. She keeps looking at me with disgust...I hope she forgives us all soon. Poor Baby.
