Walking and playing...and sampling FOOD!

We headed to Kohler for the weekend for a nice, relaxing getaway and to enjoy the Celebration of Italy event, where musicians, artists (sand and chalk), food and festivities were found throughout The Shops at Woodlake. We sampled good food, took a gondola ride, shopped and immersed ourselves in all the coziness of The American Club. I love that when we arrive Eric and I literally sigh together "ahhhhhhhhhh". We'll have a few posts to share our weekend.

Chandelier

Still coming together, another piece of the bedroom is complete...sparkly lighting! Eric rewired Elena's lighting and built a new place to hang her chandelier in her room....and it has pink stones! I think I am moving into her room! Oh yes, we all helped...including the dog...

New Bedding...

Elena's room is starting to come together...her mattress arrived last week, bedding this week (per Elena's request; and she could not care about anything except her sheets..."Mommy, I want pink with polka dots, please. It's my favorite!"), and we expect the furniture next week...Eric is working on the new lighting with Elena trying to hold the ladder and telling him she "has him covered"...hahaha..."Daddy?!?! If you need help, you let me know!" Elena is also working on Diva getting accustomed to the new bed...really not having a hard time there! And yes, sadly, our child is still boycotting pajamas...oh well...whatever makes her happy. We're laughing as we hear her say, "Diva, it is past your bedtime! Go to sleep! Now, I am serious, little girl! You are going to be tired tomorrow! I love you and this is best for you. Trust me! Now, goodnight, honey...sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite!" Hhhhmmm...wonder where she is getting that all from??! Now we're just waiting for her to pray goodnight prayers with the dog...
