SGK Walk 2010

This weekend was spent in Chicago with two good friends of mine, Renee' and Maria, as we walked for Susan G Komen Race for The Cure for Breast Cancer. We were blessed with great weather and a terrific turnout! With a night before of dinner, this was a great girls' weekend! Not to mention - but I will because I am so proud of them - both Renee' and Maria are cancer survivors themselves, and Maria's sister is a BC survivor. We WILL beat Cancer!!! Thanks so much, pretty ladies, for such a great weekend together! XO

PS - special thank you to Maria's special guy, John, for meeting us in the morning and driving us home so we didn't have to wait for the train! :)

Happy Fall!!!

Today at 10:09pm marks the official start of Fall...Yippeeeeeee!!! We love the Fall Season around here! Hope you have great things to look forward to this season! Blessings!

Psalm 85:8-13

"I will listen to what God the Lord will say;

He promises peace to His people, His saints-

but let them not return to folly.

Surely His salvation is near those who fear Him,

that His glory may dwell in our land.

Love and faithfulness meet together;

righteousness and peace kiss each other.

Faithfulness springs forth from the earth,

Planting...

We are working on some landscaping before the winter hits and Eric was once again finding just the right place and just the right person for the job...in Wisconsin!!! But the travel is worth it since our designer has done a bang up job of putting a great plan together for us...and we've done a great job modifying it...hehehe...but we are still thankful for the wisdom and insight! Now to getting it done! All weekend we - yes WE, for all of those who know I don't like to sweat or get dirty - we planted bushes and shrubs. We both need manicures and chiropractic care now...and this is just the front of the house! Oh, dear...we may be getting old...HAHAHAHA!
