Ah-hem...

Yes, I am to post a "by the way" giving some credit where credit is due...did I mention I was missed while away in L.A.? I think this little "welcome home" display explains it. I am so grateful that I have a family like this to come home to...I am blessed! ;)
PS - that is Chardonnay bubble bath that is a new line at Kohler on top of my In Style magazine...ohhhhh heaven!

Mommy...I'm Going on a Plane, Too!

Speaks for itself...

More Airbrush

More L.A. Photos

These are from City Walk and the Beverly Garland Hotel

L.A. Trip

I had the opportunity to train with some of the best of the best makeup/tanning artists in the country this past weekend in Los Angeles. They have a list a mile long of celebrity makeup, red carpet events, and runway...but most impressive to me was their work with burn victims and birth defects that can be covered and camouflaged with airbrush makeup. The freedom these people experience afterward, having lived a life filled with stares, whispers and gasps, is touching and beautiful. And the personalities and pleasantness of these people made the classes perfect!

Airbrush makeup is terrific on so many levels, and as an esthetician whose primary concern is that of the health and care of the skin, this line is my ally! Water based, no risk of cross contamination, and amazing coverage for acneic/problematic skin are just a few of the reasons why I am so excited to use it! Tanning and Fantasy Techniques were pretty cool, too! Highlighting, shading, defining...you name it! Take a look! ;)

Thank you to Julie, Al and Tatiana for your expertise, and to Loni for encouraging me to work with these amazing people! Can't wait to work with you!
PS: Fun Facts...on the way to L.A....Snoop Dogg was on my flight! Now that was something! And my photo in this shot...looks like my roots are white?! Yep...residuals from the fantasy makeup portion...we had to do at least four faces along with many other "works of art" to complete our class requirement. I washed my face 6 times that day! :) But this photo of my face is my work at the end of day which we were required to do for "every-day-walk-out-on-the-street-natural" makeup...not too bad! ;)

Zoo!!!

We are really making the most of the extraordinarily warm weather and some time off school! Monday was spent at the Zoo with Michelle and her boys Brady and Jack. We got some great walking in, but the funniest part of the day was that the kids were more thrilled to see squirrels and geese than anything else...AT THE ZOO!!! HAHA! Thank you, Michelle, for the tickets in and for a great day together! See you soon!

Bay Shore Shops in Milwaukee

Of course we had to stop and shop...and eat again...at the outdoor shops in Milwaukee. Elena had a blast running through the water park in the center court. Then a quick stop to Colder's to check out some furniture possibilities...I think Elena found her favorite!

LOVE Our Room!

Elena had a little surprise waiting for her after turn-down service! ;)

Hay Fort and Corn Maze

Kohler Harvest Days

We love the Fall and Kohler, so mixing the two is nothing short of fabulous! We celebrated an early anniversary in our honeymoon town, enjoying food, crafts, hayrides, corn mazes (the first time for all of us!) and of course the conquering of the giant hay fort! We couldn't have asked for better weather! SO beautiful!

The Design Center had caricature and balloon artists, the geese and ducks were happily getting snack food from La Cucina by the lake, and Elena had fun making masks and playing at the local toy shop.

Finishing the night with fun bubble baths in one of the newly renovated American Club rooms capped the night off...can't wait to go back!!!

Thank you, Sweetheart, for an amazing weekend! Love you!!! XOXO

(We'll have several posts for pictures! ;) )
Pictures are of the new covered paths, Elena having "tea" while waiting to be seated at La Cucina with her new "poodle", feeding the geese and ducks, and us after seeing the balloon artist.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

It's that time of year again! There's so much to be done in the fight to end breast cancer, and so many opportunities to do for those in need! Walks, volunteering, fundraisers, personal donations, and prayer! Even the very littlest amount of effort will make a big impact, so please give wherever and whenever you can. Someones' life depends on it!
