We're actually still in Florida until next week but I wanted to go ahead and try to post a bit now (between rest and a majorly hot afternoon, I've got a bit of time to be on the computer). I'm going to have a lot of work to do when we return. :)
The weekend of May 31st, was my fourth and final attempt for the Mrs. Illinois America Title. Final because it was finally a goal achieved, a dream realized, and a brand new Journey to begin. I am excited, honored, and humbled by this opportunity to serve and represent the state of Illinois, and the many beautiful, talented, intelligent women of not only our pageant but also our state.
I will have more photos, more information, and a brand new blog soon, but for now here's a snippet of what I have while away. I thank each and every person who supported, encouraged and prayed for me (and there are a lot of you, I know...and I will be writing some more on that on the new Mrs. Illinois blog as well. I am a firm believer that behind every success you achieve is a multitude of successful people holding hands with you to bring you forward. I want you all to know my immense gratitude for your hands, and your hearts!), I thank my loving husband for the chance to try one more time, and most important I thank my God, from Whom every good and perfect gift is from (James 1:17"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."), and Whom without, this would never be. He deserves all the credit. May I never forget it and never take it for granted.
All future Mrs. Illinois pictures, appearances and information will be on a new blog site which I will work on and provide upon return, but we'll continue to keep everyone updated on all the family goings-on right here...same bat station, same bat channel.
Many Blessings!
